Our Senior High Youth Group will be participating in this national event for the 10th straight year. Refreshments will be served by Linda Chaser, Diane Gioco & Lynn Singleton. Bring your grand daughters & friends if you don’t have a daughter available?
-Service News: It is almost time for us to assemble our Health Kits for Church World Service. Remember, we have been collecting items all year for the kits which are sent to people after a disaster hits, in our country & around the world. We still need the following:

6 Boxes of regular Size Band-aids

PROGRESSIVE DINNER! Turn an acquaintance into a friend! Keep these dates in mind for an evening of fun, fellowship and fantastic food. The Deacons are supporting a Progressive Dinner on March 5th or 12th. (The details of the date are still being worked on.)

We meet at the church for appetizers and time to visit with everyone at 5:30. When its time for dinner, people are assigned a host home by luck of the draw and off you will go for a more intimate dining experience. The evening will last as long as your hosts can stay awake! Enjoy getting to know people in the church better. This event has always had rave reviews. There is a $10 per person cost to help defray the expense of the meal payable that night. It is important to know ahead of time how many guests will be participating.
The definite date and more details will be forthcoming soon, as well as a sign up sheet for you to add your name to the list. We are asking that you pay for your spot ahead of time. You don’t want to miss out on all the fun!
We are also on the look out for people willing to host people in their homes. Each host will be asked to provide coffee and dessert. Dinner will be delivered to your house the afternoon of the event.
Questions???? Speak to one of your Deacons.

BIBLE STUDY: After the first Easter, our Christian faith began to spread in the world. The Book of Acts recounts this extraordinary progress in a hostile world. Using Anthony Robinson’s, “Called to Be Church,” we will explore our early church’s progress with an eye on studying our own congregation in Woodstock.
This study will begin on Wednesday, January 19 from 10:30-12:00. (Please note day change for this one week due to a schedule conflict: the other sessions will be held on Tuesday mornings). You may purchase your own copy of the book on line (Amazon’s prices range from $16 new to 4.99 used) or in most bookstores. Rev. Mike will place one order for those interested by Jan. 11.
