Sr. High Youth Group Assembling Health Kits

Health Kits

On Sunday, Sept. 11, our Senior High Youth Group will be assembling Health Kits which are distributed by Church World Service to residents of shelters in emergency situations, like the refugee crisis created by hurricane Katrina.  Even though this is a small thing, it is one thing we can all help with in response to this disaster.  Health kits include:

One hand towel

One washcloth

One comb

One metal nail file or nail clipper

One bar of soap (bath size)

One toothbrush

One tube of toothpast (4-7 onces)

Six Band-Aids

All items are sealed in a one-gallon plastic bag with a zipper closure

You can assist with this project in two ways:

1.  Contribute items on the list above and bring them to the church by September 11.

2.  Donate $12 per kit and the Sr. High Youth Group will do the shopping for you.

Make checks payable to:

Care, concern, and love are the invisible ingredients in a CWS Health Kit.  These small items that we often take for granted mean so much to those for whom they are precious commodities.
