CONTINUING A LONG TRADITION, our two congregations have joined to worship together during the summer months at 10:00 a.m., July here, and August 5 - September 2 at East Woodstock. You are invited to remain for refreshments. Child care is provided for infants and toddlers in the nursery, and older children are invited to go downstairs for a bible lesson and craft.




ITEMS LOOKING FOR THEIR HOMES: In the main kitchen downstairs, we have several water bottles (pink, two stainless, and one clear plastic), a pair of BBQ tongs and a dark green apron, an insulated coffee mug, marked “Brown,” and a plastic bowl. If any of these things are yours, please take them home. Thanks.



AUGUST 3, 9 A.M.! That's the new time to come to the Church Kitchen to begin filling jars for the Christmas Fair:) Do let Susan know 860-923-2887 if you will be coming---we may need some extra supplies. It's not too late for you to donate a bag of flour, or white sugar or brown sugar, some walnuts, pecans, coconut or chocolate chips! Please leave your unopened bags if the large basket in Harrison Hall.



ARE YOU INTERESTED IN GOING ON A MISSION TRIP? A delegation from the CT Conference & the Mid Atlantic Conference will be traveling to Colombia in March, 2013. Check out the bulletin board outside the church office for details! This is a wonderful way to kick off our mission partnership with the Rev. Michael Joseph & the people he serves!!

Summer Sunday School And Child Care


A special welcome to our friends from East Woodstock as well as those who may be visiting with us this morning. Throughout the month of July there will be Sunday School lessons downstairs for children in Grades Pre-K through 8. The nursery will be open and staffed for newborns and toddlers. Alternately, youth may enjoy worship in the sanctuary with their families. This summer we are featuring some of the parables of Jesus.


The JYG/Sunday School Trip to Sight and Sound Theatre has been officially booked! Five adults and eight youth are excited to be attending the amazing stage production of Jonah on August 8th, 2012, and spending an overnight in Lancaster at the beautiful UCC Church of The Apostles Youth Center...a two story building dedicated to the youth of the church!!! We are now in the midst of finalizing plans, one of which will allow us a closer look at the Amish religion and culture. If there is anyone who would like to join our group, please call (860-974-3489) or email (rj3j@charter.net) Jennifer John for more info no later than Tuesday, July 17th. We still have a number of reserved seats, though actual seating with our group may no longer be available. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.

Women's Fellowship will be starting the process of creating several different Jar Items for the Christmas Fair. You can help by donating 1 or 2 or the following:

white flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, walnuts, pecans, coconut. Only un-opened bags please! Your donations can be left in the next 2 weeks, on the large basket labeled for this purpose in Harrison Hall.

We will be collecting items for donation to Back to School for TEEG. New back pack and any school supplies are needed. Leave anytime in the next 5 weeks in Harrison Hall on the designated table.

Deadline for the JYG/Sunday School PA Trip to Sight & Sound Theatre is TODAY. Please see Jennifer John after church if you or your child/ren are interested in this exciting overnight experience. We will be carpooling to Lancaster County, PA, on Wednesday, August 8th, to see an amazing production of Jonah at Sight & Sound Theatre, and then spending the night at the UCC Church of the Apostles Youth Center in Lancaster. There is no cost to our youth. The trip is being sponsored by the Junior Youth Group in conjunction with the Sunday School. Please sign up today to guarantee group seating! Note: children 11 years and younger must be accompanied by a parent.




WHEELCHAIR NEEDED! Our wheelchair now needs its own wheelchair! A wheel has broken and cannot be repaired. The Parish Care Team would like to know if anyone has an extra one that they can donate to the church for use by our members and friends when a need arises. If so, please see Ruthie Kimball or Ruth Stevenson.
